My Philosophy…I believe that each person has the innate ability to be an impactful leader and collaborator, having positive effects on the world around them. Though, chronic stress and challenges, from day-to-day challenges (e.g., distractions, poor working conditions, time pressure, too many responsibilities) to systemic challenges (e.g., inequity, exclusionary practices and structures), can hinder our natural leadership and collaborative abilities and qualities.
In my personal and professional life, I have experienced and witnessed qualities, such as compassion, empathy, focus, creativity, and authentic connection to self, others and the earth, support excellence in leadership and collaboration, and contribute to the well-being of individuals and communities. In my work as a licensed psychologist, mindfulness teacher and practitioner and consultant I aim to facilitate and offer opportunities for people to cultivate these abilities and qualities.
My own practice in mindfulness has helped me become more self-aware, compassionate (to myself and others), open, and vitalized as I navigate the fulfilling, yet, at times, challenging work of authentic connection and change-making… To hear more about my journey, check out my latest article that I published on Linkedin: Happiness at Work: It is Achievable?
