Deepening and Embodying Cultural Humility: Moving from Well-Meaning to Well-Doing

This workshop offers the opportunity for participants to examine the intersection of multiple identities and sociocultural contexts in which we may dwell. We will work on unpacking own assumptions and biases, both conscious and unconscious, through experiential exercises and consider ways these parts of ourselves may be affecting and affected by our interactions with others in our work (e.g., colleagues, supervisors, supervisees, and clients/consumers). We will also explore ways to create and integrate ongoing practices and processes to continue this ongoing work of cultural awareness and behavior change that embodies a commitment to inclusivity, equity and social justice.
