Mindful Practice: “SABER”

Stop– Pause right here and right now; this pause allows you to

step out of your autopilot

 

Acknowledge– What’s really going on in your mind and body with

your thoughts, sensations, and emotions right now in this

moment?

 

Breathe– Focus your awareness on the breath

 

Expand– Expand your awareness to include a sense of the body

as a whole, in addition to your focus on the breath.

 

Respond– Now make a mindful choice of what to do next, if

anything.
